Robert N Stephenson



Robert holds a Certificate IV (BRZ) in Workplace Training and Assessment (Taken in Professional Writing and Editing) Holds a Diploma in Advanced Professional Writing and Editing and  TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He is a published author. He works as a trainer for several colleges in Australia in the areas of Technical Writing to Creative Writing.

His experience in the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror writing industry is extensive, with over 120 short stories published around the world, multiple Writers of the Future Recommendations, an Aurealis Award for Best Australia SF story and a Black Dog Award. His novel Life Light was published in Poland in Polish and in English in Australia (though it is currently out of print) and his Novel Uttuku was serialized in Bewildering Stories in 2006. Current books are, The Clever Nature of Wool, Blue Reasoning, The Mess in My Head, To An Untrained Mind and Do You Want to Live Forever. As a Literary Agent he saw to the careers of Kristy Jordan Fenton and Tony Shillitoe. While no longer an agent in the field he still keeps a close watch on the publishing industry.

Robert has written for film, delivered graphic novels and contract novels to the film industry and created numerous courses for colleges around Australia. He is still a working writer selling and publishing stories year round and it is this active experience the student will gain access to during the course and its extensive assignments.
